Here I blog fairly regularly about random stuff that interests me: books, the ocean and all the stuff you find in it, beer, classical liberal but libertarian leaning politics and of course software, blogs and anything technical that crosses my mind. I also post various stories and poems I write. It's really a mixed bag.

The blog engine I use is a custom built Rails application I call dog. I called it dog because I like dogs, there's no acronym or deeper meaning in the name. I've been a fan of Ruby for a long time and built my current blogging system as a way to learn Rails.
